Having fun with my new camera. This weekend Will, Matt, Kristie and I went camping 5 miles north of Silverthorne for the night. It was raining on the drive up (snowing at Eisenhower Tunnel) but it cleared up nicely for the night. The night was especially a success with Will tending the grill. Saturday morning we broke down camp and I kept heading west to Aspen. During the summer months Independence Pass is a nice shortcut to get to Aspen and has amazing views at the top, so it makes the drive not too painful at all. We went to the Aspen Food & Wine Festival (for free!) which was amazing, best food and wine i've ever had. Wish I had brought my camera for that. Then Sunday we woke up and went on the Ute Trail hike that has views of the town of Aspen at the top. All in all a great weekend!
